Matthew Bird

Matthew Bird is a Level 3 – Fellow Strata Community Manager (FSCM) and serves as the Managing Director of Dominion Strata Management. With a career in the property industry that spans almost 20 years, Matt has accumulated substantial expertise in various facets of the sector. His experience encompasses asset management for a diverse portfolio of medical and office facilities, as well as development management for a range of successful property projects in both the Perth metropolitan area and the Pilbara region.

Given his robust background in construction and property development, Matt’s transition into strata management was a logical progression. Initially managing schemes he had personally developed, he subsequently broadened his scope to oversee strata schemes from other builders and developers. Committed to excelling in this industry, Matt aims to leverage his extensive property and construction knowledge to cultivate a thriving strata management enterprise.

In his previous roles under the purview of an AFS licensed organisation, Matt demonstrated proficiency in corporate governance and stakeholder communication. He places great emphasis on due process, ensuring that it is not only explicitly outlined but consistently followed. Passionate about the advancement and modernisation of the strata community sector, he believes that continuous education and training for both owners and managers are critical for the industry’s successful future.

Matt’s qualifications include a B. Com (Fin & Prop), Dip. FS, and is also a registered Building Practitioner. Furthermore, he has previously served as the Vice President and Treasurer of the Strata Community Association (WA).

Ange Swinbourne

Ange brings a wealth of experience to her role, with a diverse background that spans both the real estate industry and fire services scheduling and maintenance. She has successfully attained Level 3 – Fellow Strata Community Manager (FSCM) certification through the Strata Community Association (WA), a testament to her ongoing commitment to professional development within the strata community sector. In addition to her certification, Ange has been an active member of SCA(WA)’s Industry Understanding Committee since 2019, further underscoring her passion for industry education.

Her contributions to the field have been formally acknowledged through her receipt of the 2019 Strata Community Association of Western Australia’s Strata Community Manager of the Year – Rising Star Award.
